My tile class consisted of 11 women and me. Our first lesson was to get some experience with basic shapes, stamping patterns into the clay, and painting. I looked around the room for inspiration and came up with this piece. I didn’t realize everyone’s work would be critiqued at the end of the lesson and I was somewhat embarrassed when they were all looking at mine. They were very professional (something I strive for) and were critiquing the color of the nipples, the artificial roundness, and other aspects. I was cracking up inside and trying not to laugh. This is a simple piece from a simple mind.
